by Growing up playing Little League Baseball, when August rolled around the annual trip
up to Williamsport, Pennsylvania was an absolute necessity. For 2 weeks, kids were rockstars
and under the same media coverage as a big leaguer. Nowadays it is absolute eye wash and all
that can be talked about is how bad the umpires are and how your little league team growing up
would steam roll these teams. The biggest mistake Little League made was altering the age
eligibility for kids on the team. The best part of Little League was watching a 13-year-old who
barely made the cut and looked like an NFL Middle Linebacker blow fastballs by everyone and
hit three 300-foot homeruns in the same game. My LLWS is not watching a 75 pound lefty
lofting looping curveballs in the other batters’ box and the ump ringing everyone up. Bring back
the big boys pumping MLB equivalent 99 MPH heaters and looks like he is on steroids! That is
my LLWS PERIOD!
