I still think Liberty is a fraud. Yes, they beat NMSU this year, but that was back in Week 3 and if you haven’t noticed, college football has changed a lot since then! I mean we all thought Coach Prime was going to the Playoff! Ok, maybe that was just me… but the point is, I think NMSU gives them a game!
Toledo -7.5 (-118) vs. Miami (OH) – (MAC Championship, Detroit)
Toledo is a wagon! If Tulane were to lose to SMU this weekend (they will), then Toledo is my easy pick for the NY6 G5 spot! Normally, I like picking the team that lost the first game in a rematch, however, Toledo beat them soundly on the road in Oxford, AND Miami (OH) lost Brett Gabbert, their starting QB, for the year. Rockets by 2+ scores!
UNLV +114 ML vs. Boise State – (Mountain West Championship)
UNLV is the better team, at home, and in the conference title game. Enough said. At the very least I have them covering +2.5.
SMU +132 ML @ #22 Tulane – (American Championship)
I think SMU is the better team all-around, Pratt is the better QB, which in G5 football, is huge, but I love the ‘Stangs running game ability to shorten the actual game (not the game as a whole, because, you know, ESPN gotta get their commercials). Give me the Ponies in a low scoring bout!
Troy -5.5 (-115) vs. App State – (Sun Belt Championship)
By now, we all know this should be JMU here (FUCK THE NCAA)! So, Troy should should handle App State. I fully expect Vidal to run it down App State’s throats and likely blow them out. If I had to make a score prediction give me Troy 37 App State 10. Troy is a VERY good team!
