It’s that time of the week again. Time to say our favorite teams should tank for Caleb or fire our once-beloved coach! Let’s get into it!
Overreaction – We jumped the gun too early on Florida State
I don’t think we did. Did they play bad versus a really bad team in Boston College? Yes, but in their defense, BC is known for being a tough game when they wear their “For Wells” red bandana unis (that are SICK btw) and that is a trap game with a trip to Clemson coming up this Saturday. The important thing is they survived that trap.
Not an Overreaction – The NFC South might actually be good
The Falcons are DEEP and legit might be a QB away from being able to be a contender in the NFC. The Saints, if they can figure out their OL and get Carr to play better, are a good team, and dare I say Baker is leading a good team in Tampa? Well, he’s definitely not leading it, but as long as that D shows up (pause) they can win any game!
Overreaction – The SEC will NOT make the playoff this year
Listen, Georgia has looked very beatable this year and same with Bama. Tennessee just got embarrassed, LSU already got ran out of the building, Ole Miss doesn’t like to play defense, and Missouri is… well Missouri; they’ll find a way to mess this up. That being said, I’m not concerned that the SEC will miss the playoff for the first time ever.
Not an Overreaction – Jay Norvell is a scumbag and should be fired soon
What has Jay Norvell accomplished at Colorado State to warrant him talking smack and whining to the media so much??? Like he’s 3-11 as the Rams head coach… his players are dirty and cheap and it starts from the top! And then this man has the audacity to complain to the media afterwards that they were only calling it one way… sir you had 16 penalties for 165 yards to Colorado’s 8 for 75! Y’all are lucky they didn’t nail y’all for 20 for 225 and have at least five of your players ejected and suspended. It was the most classless game from a team I think I’ve seen since maybe the FIU-Miami fight back in the early 2000’s.
Overreaction – The Chargers are one of the worst teams in the NFL
Are the Chargers bad? Yes. Are they like Top-5 pick bad? I don’t think so. Yes, they have a franchise QB and some elite edge rushers and the best safety in football, but like… what else do they have? Their DB’s are just burnt toast that don’t seem to give a shit (and they paid one of them a Brinx truck). Their OL is decent when healthy, which it seems like they never are. Eckler’s good, but he’s not a game-ending HB. Like, he’s a fantasy god RB, but that don’t mean he’s good. The WR’s are good… when healthy, and their front seven can’t stop a runny nose and get off the field… oh all this and their led by a doofus for a head-coach. This team will miss the playoffs and I think will be picking in the top-10 in April.
