Overreaction — USC’s new DC (whoever it is) will help Lincoln Riley get over the hump
Lincoln Riley does not care about defense. Never has and never will. Idk if there is a DC in the world that can save his defenses. It’s like he takes WR’s, RB’s and TE’s and just makes them defensive players. God forbid he doesn’t have an elite QB, he will end up getting fired cause he can consistently score 50+ every game.
Not an Overreaction — Josh Dobbs is about to have a Nick Foles-esque run
Ok, so I have gone back and forth on this over the past 18 hours or so and I am leaning yes, he realistically could! When you think about it. He was balling for a HORRIBLE team in Arizona and keeping them in a lot of ball games! Now he’s on a much better team in all aspects. In the next couple weeks, he will be getting J Jettas back and he helps open up the running game for Mattison. Flores has this defense playing at a top-10 level. I think it’s possible the Vikes go 5-0 over this stretch (including yesterday’s W). Maybe I am getting my hopes up, but man he looked like Joe Webb that one Tuesday night game @ Philly in like 2011!
Overreaction — Iowa will hit an Over this year
I think that they’re point shaving at this point. The LOWEST O/U IN CFB HISTORY (29.5) and it wasn’t EVEN CLOSE TO HITTING! I mean how many Iowa athletes have been nailed in gambling violations? Have we never considered they might have a whole-ass betting ring in that athletic department???
Not an Overreaction — Michigan football will get damn near the death penalty when it is all said done
If it is proven that Stallions was on that CMU sideline secretly recording Michigan State and that they gave information to South Carolina for them to beat Tennessee and then Clemson (plus God knows who else they may have helped aid along the way), I can’t see a world where the NCAA does not bring the absolute HAMMER down on Michigan. They hate Harbaugh as is. It wouldn’t surprise me if they suspend him from coaching in the NCAA for life, plus post-season bans (4+ years), massive scholarship losses, etc. I mean maybe even— dare I say it??? The death penalty! When this is all said and done I think Michigan will be set back further than Penn State was in 2014.
Not an Overreaction — The Buffalo Bills are frauds and should blow it all to try to rebuild this offseason
Now I am not saying trade Josh Allen, but like everyone else should be able to be traded. I’m talking Knox, Diggs, Gabe Davis, Tre’ White, Von Miller, etc. I think it has been proven this year that the Bills are. Or actually that good and we have seen the ceiling of this team already and it won’t get any higher. The Bills are 5-4 and are two horribly missed DPI calls away from being 3-6. This team will be lucky to win a playoff game. I am thinking you have AT LEAST five players that you can get at least a Day-2 draft pick(s) for. Give yourself some cap room, get younger and re-invent yourselves. Almost do a “competitive rebuild” where you sold off some players but are not trying to actively tank, although you might be bad to meh for a max. two years. Will they do this? No, they’ll probably add a little role piece and try to hype it up as the thing that gets them over the hump, but it won’t.
