Over Reaction Monday (9/25/23)

EVERYBODY PANIC!!!!!… or don’t, I don’t know; up to you. It’s Monday though, so let’s overreact!

Over Reaction – Colorado’s Season is Over

Colorado got HUMBLED on Saturday in Eugene. I know they had no Travis Hunter, but that was embarrassing to say the least. I am hoping that this loss kills the Deion hype train because, even as someone who’s been a believer since Day 1, it became extremely annoying. This team should hover around the Top-25 for the year because I do think they’re a good team. Not great, but good. To say their season is over though after one (albeit embarrassing) loss is asinine.

Not an Overreaction – The Dolphins are the best team in the AFC

Now this might be a hot take, but this team I think is LEGIT! Now, I get LA’s defense is trash and apparently Denver’s is too, but let’s not ignore the fact that they scored 70 POINTS! On a professional football team. Not to mention that they went into New England and dominated the Pats. If, and that is a BIG IF, they can stay healthy, I think we can see them in Vegas in February!

Over Reaction – The Chargers saved their season by beating the Vikings

I am a huge Brandon Staley hater. I think he sucks and should have been fired after blowing a 27-point lead to the Jags in the playoffs last year, especially since the year before his dumbass called a timeout when the Raiders were about to send themselves AND the Chargers to the playoffs; so the raiders kicked a game-winning FG to send the Steelers to the playoffs and the Chargers home. He has great players in key positions all over the field and can never make them a contender and it’s laughable at this point. I see this team going 7-10, maybe 6-11, and yet again disappointing all nine of their fans.

Not an Over Reaction – Penn State is the team to beat in the Big Ten

While Michigan is getting scared by Rutgers and throwing 3 INTs vs. Bowling Green and Ohio State needs an all-time mental blunder to beat Norte Dame… Penn State has been quietly beating the breaks off of everyone. The Nittany Lions DOMINATED during The White Out on Saturday night, beating the then #24 Iowa Hawkeyes 31-0! Unfortunately for them it wasn’t even the most impressive performance in a ranked vs. ranked matchup that day, but make no mistake, it did not go unnoticed and QB Drew Allar looks like he is coming into his own. It very much seems that we are in a collision course for a potential game-of-the-year type of matchup in Columbus on October 21st!
