With Week 4 in the books, we saw a disappointing showing from last week’s #1 team, leading to only two remaining undefeated teams in San Fran and Philly. Who will be the last one standing? SF has Dallas coming to town this weekend and the Birds are traveling to SoFi for a matchup with the Rams. Let me know in the comments down below!
- San Francisco 49ers (4-0) +1
Despite Arizona bringing the game within 5 points early in the 2nd half, the 49ers did what they do best: leaned on Christian McCaffrey. With a four-touchdown day and another 100-yard running performance, McCaffrey should be leading the “too early” MVP voting right now. To go along with this, Brock Purdy was nearly flawless completing 20/21 of his passes and nearly 300 yards, 150 of which went to Brandon Aiyuk.
- Philadelphia Eagles (4-0) +1
Divisional games are always tough. Philly entered half time against the Commanders trailing by seven. I’m curious what Nick Sirianni said at halftime because the Birds came out swinging. Jalen Hurts had a phenomenal game throwing for over 300 yards and two touchdowns, both of which fell into the hands of A.J. Brown. Despite this, the game went into OT and Philly’s defense needed to make one more stop to ensure the win. They did just that.
- Kansas City Chiefs (3-1) +1
For the second straight week, the Chiefs had Taylor Swift in attendance. While fans may have been expecting a blow out like last week, we got the complete opposite. Zach Wilson absolutely balled out and almost led the Jets to a comeback win. Unfortunately for Jets Nation, the refs had other plans. Late in the 4th, Patrick Mahomes threw what would’ve been his third pick of the game, however, the refs called Sauce Gardner for a questionable holding penalty. This allowed Kansas City to basically ice the game.
- Buffalo Bills (3-1) +1
Ever since Week 2, Josh Allen has been playing out of his mind. Allen went 21/25 320 yards and four scores against Miami. Despite how great the offense played, the real winners this weekend was the Bills defense. I mean, holding Miami to 20 points a week after they just scored 70 is insane. The Bills remain kings of the East.
- Dallas Cowboys (3-1) +1
After a disappointing loss a week ago, Dallas came out swinging like they did in weeks 1 and 2. Dallas is also 9-1 in games directly following a loss in their last two seasons. Dak had another really good game and Dallas’ D was unstoppable scoring two touchdowns and forcing three turnovers. The Cowboys’ point differential in all three wins are +95, which is insane. Dallas looks to head to San Francisco this weekend to take on a hot 49ers team.
- Miami Dolphins (3-1) -5
I apologize for overestimating the Dolphins by a mile. Although they’re still a top offense in this league, Tua and company just couldn’t get it done on Sunday. Not one receiver totaled more than 60 yards receiving. I don’t think the Dolphins can do anything if their defense doesn’t step it up throughout the rest of the season. They have games against Philly, Kansas City, Dallas, and Buffalo again. Need to tighten up on defense if they want a chance this year.
- Detroit Lions (3-1) —
Detroit continues to improve each week. Divisional games are always tough, and they took it to Green Bay on Thursday night. Jahmyr Gibbs fantasy owners are in shambles after Detroit used their first-round pick on him yet gave David Montgomery all the touches. I don’t think the front office cares too much if Montgomery can replicate performances like he had this week (121 yards on the ground and three touchdowns). I don’t think anything else needs to be said. This is a good football team.
- Baltimore Ravens (3-1) +1
I didn’t put too much thought into this game because the Ravens really didn’t look all that dominate. Lamar finished with under 200 yards passing and under 30 yards rushing. The real reason for the blowout was that Cleveland’s starting QB, Deshaun Watson, was out and they were forced to start Dorial Thompson-Robinson. DTR threw three picks which ultimately led to Cleveland’s loss.
- Seattle Seahawks (3-1) +2
Seattle took on the Giants on MNF and got the Daniel Jones they were probably expecting. Jones is now 1-7 in primetime games – the worst percentage amongst QBs in NFL history playing in primetime. Seattle capitalized on two interceptions, forced three fumbles, and sacked Jones 10 times. They even had Drew Lock come in and lead a touchdown drive while Geno was out getting looked at by the medical group.
- Cleveland Browns (2-2) -2
Like I said above, I don’t want to drop Cleveland too far after Sunday’s game because I truly did not think Baltimore won in that dominant of a fashion. Once Watson returns, it’s likely Cleveland will get back in the win column. With a BYE this upcoming week, all their stars should have plenty of time to get healthy before their Week 6 matchup vs the 49ers.
