KKarp’s College Card (Week 3)

It was such a hot and cold Saturday for me last week, as I started off 5-0 and then got dropkicked by the evening slate to finish the day 5-5. Talk about a 180. Even though this weekend’s slate is lame, I’ve got my eyes on a few games that I’m confident will win us some coin. Let’s get into it!

Indiana @ Louisville -10

My college buddy is a DIEHARD Louisville fan who knows this football team through and through. He texted me this on Monday:

I’ll always trust in and ride with my boys. Add it to my card.

Colorado State @ Colorado -23.5

College Gameday is here, which goes to show how weak this Saturday platter is. Jay Norvell made the most instigating of comments about Deion earlier this week. Whether it was a publicity stunt or just straight trolling, bad move chief. Colorado runs up the scoreboard, puts a 50 burger on its in-state rival, and cruises into Eugene next weekend with a flawless 3-0 record.

Florida State @ Boston College Under 46.5

Sloppy weather, 25 MPH winds, noon kick, and it’s BC’s red bandana game. My gut is telling me that the Seminoles come out a little flat and BC hangs around for about a quarter and a half. Don’t get me wrong, BC stinks and FSU will dominate (maybe even hold them to under 10 points), but the under is a good play here.

Tennessee @ Florida +6.5

This is my lock of the week. A smash-mouth SEC rivalry between two teams who hate each other and need big wins to set the tone for the remainder of conference play. The Vols have looked unimpressive so far (only lead Austin Peay 13-6 at halftime last week), and do we really know if Joe Milton has put it all together yet? Florida is an undisciplined team but has home field advantage, has looked good talent wise, and Graham Mertz is actually OK. The Swamp is going to be ROCKING on primetime television and this one will go down to the wire. Trust me, this is not the same Tennessee team we were accustomed to seeing a year ago and America will find that out tomorrow night.
