Iowa’s Offensive Coordinator’s Press Conference was LEGENDARY

Maybe the funniest story in college football that goes under the radar is that Iowa’s offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz has a 25 points per game and 7 wins quota that he has to hit in order to keep his job. He is the son of the head coach Kirk Ferentz, so I believe that the lousy offense that is being coached by his son is finally on the line this season. In a press conference after beating Western Michigan 41-10, Ferentz made fun of the ongoing joke that he needs to meet his point per game threshold.

I do give credit to the Hawkeye OC for at least addressing it and rubbing it in everyone’s face when they do score more than 25 points. Granted, they did this against Western Michigan where they were almost 30-point favorites, so the victory lap was a little weird but completely understandable. They head to Happy Valley next week for the Nittany Lions’ notorious “White Out” game and they might get shoutout. Looking back at the 25 points per game, putting up 41 against a measly Western Michigan team could save this man’s job. Keep betting the team total overs for this Hawkeye team as literal livelihoods for adults and families are at stake every week.
