Commish: Cameron Ward – QB, Washington State
I know it’s early, but Cougars QB Cameron Ward is a dark horse Heisman candidate to look out for. In one of the biggest games of the weekend, Ward threw for 404 yards and 4 TD, and ran in a TD. Ward’s stat line for this season has been nothing short of remarkable and the Cougars are a team to look out for in the PAC-12.
Dom: Jack Plummer – QB, Louisville
Jack Plummer was almost perfect for Louisville in a win vs. Boston College, going 18/21 with 388 yards and 5 touchdowns. He added another touchdown on the ground to help the Cardinals improved to 4-0.
Clay: Utah Defense
There isn’t just one stand out in this game. No no, this ENTIRE SQUAD showed up in Week 4. The Utes allowed just seven points, Karene Reid had a pick six, Jonah Ellis notched 3.5 sacks and five TFL, and the team finished with 11 TFL and 3 forced fumbles with one being recovered. I mean they did it all against a UCLA team that scored 27, 35 and 59 points in three games prior.
Snade: Rocco Becht – QB, Iowa State
College football is weird. Iowa State has struggled on offense in large part due to Becht’s struggles. I’m going to give the man his flowers today though, and hopefully he can build on this and get this Iowa State team back to being what they can be. The Cyclone finished the day with a 27/38-348 yard-3 TD stat line as Iowa State bounced back with a 34-27 win over Oklahoma State.
KKarp: Maxwell Hairston – DB, Kentucky
Showing the defensive side of the ball some love here! Hairston was all over the field on Saturday, tying an SEC record and breaking a school record with two interception returns for a TD against Vanderbilt. The Michigan native also recorded a career-high three pass breakups and added four tackles.
