Commish: Joey Aguilar – QB, App State
With all of the College Gameday and media hype revolving around JMU this past week, App State rolled into Harrisonburg and played the ultimate spoiler behind an emphatic 26-23 OT win over the Dukes. QB Joey Aguilar led the charge for the Mountaineers, putting up 318 yards and three touchdowns through the air, including a game-winning 8-yard TD pass to Kaedin Robinson to walk it off in OT.
Dom: Army Ground Game
The Black Knights took one step closer to bowl eligibility with an impressive 28-21 win over then- 7-2 Coastal Carolina, and did so by throwing only one pass. Army ran it down the Chants’ throats all four quarters, racking up 365 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
Clay: Jacksonville State Ground Game
I mean, where do I start? The Gamecocks gained 522 total rushing yards from 11 different ball carriers for seven, yes, SEVEN touchdowns, and averaged 8.7 yards per carry. Malik Jackson led the way with a whopping 193 yards and Zion Webb punched it in for a team-high three times. Just an onslaught of a rushing attack. Who needs passing anyway?
KKarp: Ricky White – WR, UNLV
UNLV kept its magical season going with a huge 31-27 road win at Air Force to climb atop the Mountain West standings and pick up its first nine-win season since 1984. The Rebels’ Biletnikoff Award candidate balled out, hauling in nine catches for 169 yards (21.1 YPC) and a touchdown and tying the school record for consecutive 100-yard games with four.
(Special Addition): Frank Harris – QB, UTSA
A very good quarterback who has not been talked about enough all year, Frank Harris turned in a career-high performance on Friday night as he posted a new school record with 523 all-purpose yards behind a 49-21 win over USF. He also became the 15th FBS player to pass for more than 400 yards and rush for more than 100 in a single game.
