Commish: Keegan Shoemaker – QB, Sam Houston State
How about we give the Bearkats some love coming off their first win as an FBS program over Kennesaw State last week, and now earning their first Conference USA win over Louisiana Tech. Senior Keegan Shoemaker was the catalyst in this one, slinging the rock for 269 yards (nice) and a score. Shoemaker complimented his passing game with 54 yards on the ground and a score. Being the leader of two wins in a row, I am sure that the line outside of Shoemaker’s dorm room is slowly turning into the line of getting on your favorite rollercoaster. Sam Houston State is stacking wins and can build tremendous momentum heading into their second FBS season.
Dom: Jordan McCloud – QB, James Madison
The sun continues to shine in Harrisonburg, Va. as JMU moved to 10-0 on the season with a 44-6 curb stomping over UConn on Saturday. Their signal caller absolutely balled out, as McCloud threw for a career-high and home field-record 457 passing yards behind four touchdowns and an 89% completion rate. For the last damn time, get these guys in the NY6!
Clay: CJ Daniels – WR, Liberty
Boy oh boy have a DAY CJ Daniels. The Liberty wide out had seven catches for 137 yards and two tuddies, including one catch that was 43 yards to the house to open up the game. The junior WR was constantly fed the rock as he was the only Liberty wideout with multiple catches. A one man wrecking crew out there.
Snade: Kairee Robinson – RB, San Jose State
The Spartans were favorites entering their Saturday night matchup against 9-1 Fresno State for a reason, as SJSU throttled the Bulldogs 42-18. Robinson was the engine of the beatdown, posting 200 Yds and two touchdowns on 19 carries to help keep his team in bowl contention.
KKarp: Javon Solomon – DE, Troy
The Trojan junior tied the single-game school record with four sacks (also tied for most in a single game in FBS this season) as Troy dominated ULM 45-14 and clinched the Fun Belt West for the second year in a row. Solomon also added eight tackles and a QB hurry.
(Special addition): Andrew Conrad – K, East Carolina
Kickers are people too! Conrad helped pave the way for the Pirates as he tied an NCAA record by making five field goals of 40+ yards in a single game behind East Carolina’s 22-7 win at FAU.
