Cardell Williams did his best superman impersonation on Thursday night as Tulsa thumped visiting Temple. Williams threw for 3 TD, rushed for 90 yards, and scored again on the ground. The playmaking QB made watching the game fun and also filled up your pockets if you bet on the over for the game.
Dom: Tory Horton – WR, Colorado State
Colorado State has themselves a DUDE in Tory Horton. Like I’ve said before, he’s an NFL talent, and he proved that again this past weekend. Horton went for 227 yards and 3 TD on 10 receptions in a win vs. Utah Tech. Utah Tech is not a good team, but Tory Horton did what NFL caliber players are supposed to do against bad college teams — torch them.
Clay: Tyrek Funderburk – DB, App State
We’re going back to the defensive side this week and give me Tyrek Funderburk, man. A pick six, three tackles and a crucial sack near the end of the game helped keep UL Monroe out of the end zone and propelled App State to win the game late. We love a good DB that can get to the quarterback.
Snade: Jaylen Raynor – QB, Arkansas State
Commish hit the nail on the head with this kid last week. Raynor one-upped himself this past Saturday against a solid UMass squad, as he accounted for 413 all-purpose yards and SIX tuddies. You really have to up the ball to end up as a player of the week nominee in back-to-back weeks and Raynor did more than just that!
KKarp: Tyrion Stewart – RB, Bowling Green
The three-down workhorse RB was the catalyst of the Bowling Green offense as the Falcons defeated Georgia Tech 38-27 to mark their first-ever win over an ACC opponent in school history. Stewart was nothing but productive on the ground, picking up 138 yards and a touchdown while averaging 5.4 yards per carry.
